How to Get Your NDIS Worker Screening Check in Victoria (VIC)
If you’re starting work in the NDIS sector in Victoria, you’ll need an NDIS Worker Screening Check before you can begin in a risk-assessed role. This check helps ensure that workers don’t pose an unacceptable risk to people with disability — and it's a requirement for many roles under Victorian and national law.
In this guide, we walk you through how to apply, what documents you’ll need, how much it costs, and how long it takes in Victoria.
📝 What Is the NDIS Worker Screening Check?
The NDIS Worker Screening Check is a national clearance for workers who provide NDIS services and supports to people with disability. If you work (or plan to work) in a risk-assessed role with a registered NDIS provider, this check is mandatory. Some unregistered providers may also require it.
